And so I am sure confident that God, who began this good work in you, will carry it on until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6
Hwy 109 Youth is our middle and high school student ministry, led by our youth pastor, Pastor JC. These students are striving to equip themselves with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in order to achieve God’s will in their lives and have a better understanding of the bible.
Our goal is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our church family, community, and beyond though Christian fellowship and love carrying out any missionary work that the Lord leads us to.
We work to keep these students engaged through bible study and fellowship during our Sunday School Class at 10am on Sundays and during Wednesday evening service at 7pm. They have enjoyed structured bible studies with questions and answer time, crafts, games, and many other activities to help reinforce all they are learning in the bible study. We also meet out side of the normal service times for fun and engaging activities to allow our youth to build friendships and have the opportunity to put lessons into action.

February 2026 Newsletter
I hope that you all had a blessed month of January! As we enter into February please continue to pray for our teens as they battle both school and life!
Here is a brief update on what our youth group has been learning…
Sunday Mornings: On Sunday mornings, we finished our study in the book of Habakkuk! Next, we will be taking our students through the book of Esther!
“If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s family will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.” –Esther 4:14
Wednesday Evenings: For Wednesday evenings, we concluded our “Real Neighbor” series and look forward to taking our students through a new series titled “Connected.” This study will teach our teens the importance of church and staying connected to a body of believers!
“For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body–so also is Christ.” -1 Corinthians 12:12
Wednesday, February 18th, will be our annual Chili Cook-off Fundraiser! If you are interested in making a pot of chili please let myself (Pastor JC) or our church office know! We invite you all to come out for a fun night of fellowship, chili tasting, and ultimately supporting our student ministry going to camp this summer!
As always it's a joy and honor to serve as Youth Pastor at WBC. If there is any way I can be of service to you or your families please let me know.
