Hwy 109 Youth is our middle and high school student ministry, led by our youth pastor, Pastor JC. These students are striving to equip themselves with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in order to achieve God’s will in their lives and have a better understanding of the bible.
Our goal is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our church family, community, and beyond though Christian fellowship and love carrying out any missionary work that the Lord leads us to.
We work to keep these students engaged through bible study and fellowship during our Sunday School Class at 10am on Sundays and during Wednesday evening service at 7pm. They have enjoyed structured bible studies with questions and answer time, crafts, games, and many other activities to help reinforce all they are learning in the bible study. We also meet out side of the normal service times for fun and engaging activities to allow our youth to build friendships and have the opportunity to put lessons into action.

March 2025 Newsletter
Greetings WBC Family!
I hope that you all had a blessed February! As we enter into March please continue to pray for our teens as they battle both school and life!
Here is a brief update on what our youth group has been learning…
Sunday Mornings: On Sunday mornings, we are continuing to study through the letter of 1 John. This letter is beautiful for our teens because it reminds them how they are to be properly walking. Most of us adults can relate to these concepts as well due to once walking in the darkness of this world and now in the light of our Lord Jesus Christ!
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world–the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life–is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” –1 John 2:15-17
Wednesday Evenings: For Wednesday evenings, we are continuing our series titled Transformed, where we examine moments in scripture where someone was/is radically changed by Christ.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” –Romans 12:2

3/16 Hwy 109 Bake Sale Fundraiser- Join us directly after service in the fellowship hall to participate in an auction-style bake sale to support our teens who are going to camp this Summer! We are accepting donations regardless if you didn't win or bid on an item!
3/28 Youth Hangout & Movie Night 5-8 pm
As always it's a joy and honor to serve as Youth Pastor at WBC. If there is any way I can be of service to you or your families please let me know.

Prayer at the Pole
Join us at the flag pole out front of Oak Grove Middle School for a prayer to get your month going! We will be meeting all school year long. We will also be following Davidson County School closings should there be severe weather or closing for other reasons.
