Community Outreach Ministries & Missions

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is open the 1st Wednesday of each month from 4-6pm, with an easy drive up, stay in your car, check in and we put the food right into your trunk/trunk space.  We are happy to help and serve this community with suppling not only shelf stable food items, but also, cleaning, hygiene, and baby items too.

We are a 100% donations and volunteer ministry. This means that our Food Pantry is run by volunteers and that 100% of the items we are giving came to us in some form of donation.
If you would like to learn more about volunteering with the Food pantry please click the contact now button.  Include you name and a good way to contact you back as well as how you would like to help.
If you are interested in donating you can do a monetary donation by clicking the Give tab and marking that donation for Food Pantry.
To donate items please click the contact now button and request a list of needed goods.  Please include your name and email address in your messages.

Newsletter: March 2024
Open from 4-6pm on Wednesday, March 6th.
There are those folks who are living with tight budgets, serious medical conditions, expensive prescriptions, unexpected medical bills, and recent food inflations that bring them to our food pantry each month.  Most of the people who come, do so out of necessity, not because they really want to.  Being cognizant of these circumstances, we, as volunteers, try to give without condescending or judgement; instead, we strive to treat with dignity, respect, love, and kindness.  Just as God doesn’t judge us.
We thank God for our Food Pantry and all of those who volunteer and give so freely.
This month we will be collecting:
Vienna Sausage, Beef Stew,
Corned Beef, Corned Beef Hash
And always, monetary donations are appreciated.
~God Bless each and everyone.
Food Pantry Committee,
Angie and Beverly

Card Outreach Ministry

The Wallburg Baptist Church Card Ministry was formed as a way to reach out to members and friends to let them know they are in our hearts and prayers.
We currently meet the first Monday of the month at 10am in the Fellowship Hall and send approximately 100 cards to sick, shut-ins, those suffering loss or bereavement, and to those who are away from home due to college, military, or mission services. We remember those who are celebrating birthdays or other happy events as well.
Currently the group is made up of Betty Burns, Martha Jenkins, Carol Tilley, and Penny Bennett, and we occasionally have others drop in to help.  We enjoy picking cards for each person , and have a good time being with each other.
We are supported by a church budgeted fund as well as designated donations. Sometimes  we have a table at the Fall Bazaar to raise funds. We have also been blessed with contributions of cards, stamps, and other items; which we greatly appreciate.
If you would like to request for a card to be sent please contact Penny by clicking the connect now button and include your name, the person's name whom you wish to have the card sent to, their address, and the reason for the card request.  Also include if you would like this to be a one time send or would like them to receive a monthly inspirational card.
